Not every sentiment needs to be expressed immediately.

Hope your week is off to a great start! Thus far, we have reviewed the first three steps of AgentEXTRA's negotiation process. Step 1 is to ensure you are putting your best foot forward. Step 2 is to actively listen to your audience. Step 3 is to focus on relationships, not transactions. This brings us to the fourth and final step.
 
 
Step 4: During the conversation, be certain to be aware of verbal and nonverbal communication. Not every sentiment needs to be expressed immediately. If something is off-putting, make an effort to actively listen and consider the other party’s perspective before responding. As in many conversations, sometimes an individual is simply sharing and not seeking feedback. It can be helpful to reiterate the terms the other party is offering to demonstrate to them that they have been heard. Maintain your composure and close the negotiation on a positive note. If a consensus has not been reached, confirm a day and time to reconvene. Simple enough, right?
